Fear Is Not My Future

Fear Is Not My Future

I feel like every day, I have to fight through fear!

Sometimes, it shows up in the simplest things: reaching out to someone, making a new connection, sending an email, or taking a step toward something I know I need to do. I know what needs to be done, yet I find myself overthinking, questioning, and wondering what others might think. And if I'm honest, sometimes the hardest part isn't knowing what to do. It's finding the courage to do it.

Fear has a way of keeping us stuck. We worry about rejection, failure, and being misunderstood. We become so concerned about what could go wrong that we never give ourselves the opportunity to discover what could go right. Sometimes, we even reject ourselves before anyone else has the chance to.

Why do we give so much power to other people's opinions? Why do we allow the possibility of judgment to keep us from pursuing what matters to us?

I'm learning that everyone will not understand every decision I make, and everyone will not see the vision I see. And that's okay. I cannot allow the need for approval to become greater than my willingness to move forward.

Today, I've decided to trust God with it all.

I'm learning that faith doesn't mean I will never feel afraid. It means I don't have to let fear make every decision for me. I can take the next step without knowing exactly how everything will turn out. I can do my part, trust God's direction, and release what I cannot control.

So, what does conquering fear look like in everyday life?

Sometimes, it looks like sending the email, making the call, pursuing the opportunity, or finally doing the thing you've been putting off. It means acknowledging your fear without allowing it to dictate your next move. It means taking action even when confidence hasn't fully caught up with you.

As I navigate this season of my life, I don't want to look back and wonder what might have happened if I had simply tried. I don't want fear of rejection or judgment to keep me from sharing what God has placed on my heart. I want to live with intention. I want to move forward in purpose, even on the days when I have to encourage myself to keep going. And perhaps that's the reminder you need today, too.

What have you been putting off because you're afraid? Whose opinion are you allowing to influence your decisions? What might become possible if you trusted God enough to take the next step?

You don't have to have everything figured out. You don't have to feel completely ready. You simply have to be willing to move. Fear may be part of my experience, but it will not determine my future.

Today, I choose faith over fear, movement over hesitation, and trust over the need to control every outcome. Fear is not my future.

Give yourself permission to trust, to move, and to become the person that God has predestined you to be. 💜

With Kindness,
